It is expected that the port will specialize in cargo handling of iron concentrates and other minerals and mining inputs, serving up to 19 million metric tons of cargo from the main mining projects in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposal for the construction and operation of this terminal, valued at approximately US$405 million, was presented by the company Terminal Portuario Jinzhao Per\u00fa S.A. This project will be carried out under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) modality, in which the concessionaire will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, conservation and operation of the New Port Terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the declaration of interest, a period of 90 days was established, during which third parties interested in participating in the project may express their interest.
